A Very 2020 Thanksgiving

Despite all the challenges from this year. There is so much to be grateful for when we recognize all the milestones we have achieved as a community.

It’s been a challenging year. Living through a global pandemic is still an unfortunate reality, and many Americans are forced to spend the holiday without their friends and loved ones. This Thanksgiving promises to look a lot different than in years past. Still, despite the challenges we’re currently going through as a nation, I hope that our Celsius community members can take some time to reflect on the blessings we have in life. I feel very fortunate to be in my position. In the spirit of giving thanks, I’d like to use this week’s column to share my gratitude and appreciation to my family, friends, and the Celsius community and team.

First and most importantly, let’s start with family. My wife Krissy has been through it all with me. She has been supporting my efforts and contributing to the success of my ventures despite having her own career and caring for our 6 kids. Frankly, I don’t know where she finds the time to do it all. I could not have done any of this without her, she is my secret weapon.

In my life, I’ve had the incredible privilege to create and lead three unicorn companies — All of which I founded or co-founded. Today I help steer the mission and growth of a high-interest income provider company, Celsius. We recently surpassed $3.3 billion in assets, have over 230,000 HODLers, and the CEL token is up 6,400% this year alone. None of these accomplishments have been achieved alone. I’m thankful for my friends, colleagues, and mentors who have been instrumental in my success over the years. I also owe a special thanks to my family and close friends who have not seen much of me as I focused on getting these companies off the ground.

The relationship the Celsius team has with its community is very near and dear to me. Our compassion to improve people’s lives is what makes the Celsian community different, and in return, the community is what has made Celsius even better. I can’t thank Celsians enough for the trust they have put in me and our team with their capital. I hope to continue earning your trust as we gradually see an increase in the CEL Token and lots of interest earned on your other crypto assets.

The Celsian community continues to benefit from our success and already collected over $100m in rewards because of all the hard-working and dedicated employees we have at Celsius. Due to everyone’s hard work, we were able to reap the rewards of our token, appreciating 10X since our ICO. I’m fortunate to have a staff that understands our commitment to the community. As a small token of our thankfulness, we were able to distribute over $37.5 million in bonuses, in the form of CEL tokens, to our staff this year.

Lastly, I’m thankful for the decentralization movement and the Blockchain. The Blockchain has provided us with an opportunity to develop services that work for people by giving them increased access to financial services. We developed this community so individuals may achieve financial freedom and create better lives for themselves and their families.

As we approach the uncertainty of the holidays under this pandemic, I encourage readers to take heart in the blessings of staying healthy and having the support of family and friends, even if we can’t celebrate together in person. Use this period as a time to reflect, and give thanks to the people in your life who matter most to you.

From our family to yours, wishing everyone a happy, healthy Thanksgiving.
